Happy New Year Folks!!! Trust you all had a grand time during the holidays. I know i did :)

So..back to photos....

Am sure you've noticed by now that my pictures are not heavy on the post-processing. This is mainly because i don't know how. Its like I take some pictures and am like dang...if only it had a bit more light...or a bit more ooomphf...if you what i mean...well thanks to my big brother ;) i now have Light Room 3. Apparently this software is supposed to help me work wonders on my photos...still messing around with it...but get ready to see more "good" photos from me in the new year...not "overly-processed" but "good" :)

Occupy Lekki Toll Protest

Last Saturday i woke up bright and early to try an capture (and also support) the protest against tolling on the Lekki-Epe Axis. As you may or may not know by now, the protest degenerated into violence as many of the unharmed protestors (myself inclusive) were attacked the police and NURTW thugs who apparently support the toll...anywhoo...here a few pictures i managed to take before having to run for dear life (the last few pictures show the crowd running away from the tear gas thrown by police).

So last month i was short listed in the Lagos Photo Amateur Photography Competition. Entered for it on a whim but definitely glad i made it this far. Can't wait to hear the final results. Here was my entry titled "Lagos Blues"...hope you like :)

SA Safari

Sometime in November, my employer sent me to SA for a bit of training. Though most of the trip was spent in a boardroom learning valuation techniques, i was able to sneek in a safari...and i must say...it was one of those once in a lifetime experiences :)

So today i came up with a bright idea :) Confronted with the conundrum of how to store my pictures online and share them with family and friends without maxing out capacity/space limits, i decided to start a blog. As many of you know i got my first "serious" camera (a Nikon D5000) last august in an attempt to find a passion/ hobby. Since then I've been snapping away furiously and the support I've received thus far has been outstanding. That said, I'm still an amateur in many ways so I'd love your support, advice and even criticisms (please keep them constructive) on the stuff i post on here :)

Oh and guess what? To show that this was meant to be, when i put in the domain i wanted (same as my old blog from another life *wink*) it was still available...pretty stoked about that!!
